Manuel di Rita grew up in a small town in the province of Venice, from the beginning of the 90s in the italian graffiti scene he was known under the name of Peeta. Its evolution, which is characterized by the approach to different styles, takes shape in the final elaboration of a unique and personal style that is inspired by the sculpture and industrial design and reaches a personal performance on 3D painting. Fame as graffiti writer soon pushes Peeta beyond the italian borders and it is here, especially in the U.S. and Canada, where he finds the first major international success. Fame is confirmed by two important collaborations: one with the FX crew and the one with the RWK crew, both in New York, with whom he has participated in numerous international events. Born and raised as a graffiti artist, he was initially dedicated to the creation of paintings and sculptures as a mere stylistic exercise in order to design pieces on the wall. Gradually, however, these pieces of art have played a crucial role, becoming finished art works.
