At the age of seventeen he escaped the UK and headed to Indonesia, spending the following years travelling to many different countries taking photos and gaining a sense of himself. After returning from Mexico he stumbled across a tiny local gallery in his home town of Brighton and shortly after got his own studio and started selling his first work. It took another five years of hard graft as a laborer and working nights in bars until he could finally transfer over and just paint. Now he is an internationally acclaimed artist who's works are highly relatable and accessible for collectors. At aged 33 he has spent 10 plus years working as a self taught artist. Much of his work falls into the movement of “Pop Surrealism” a new wave of expressive art described as an underground visual art movement. Ben works in a multitude of media and materials and exhibits his paintings in venues and galleries internationally as well as selling to celebrities such as Richard Branson, Stephen Dorff and Jade Jagger.
