Mimi studied illustration at Otis/Parsons, Art Center College of Design, and earned a BFA in graphic design from California State University, Long Beach. She paints with acrylic, but her main medium is her own feelings and mood of the moment. Through her art she explores the landscape of dreams and emotions not understood, and invites the viewers to drift off on emotional journeys into a world of dreaming.
As a freelance graphic designer, she's designed ads that ran regularly in consumer publications such as Car Audio, Hustler, and many more. She’s won several design awards and has been featured in art/design publications including How, Blue Canvas, Juxtapoz Online, and other art/illustration books. She started to paint for herself in 2007 and has exhibited nationally and internationally since.
